Celebrate SoTL 2019

Celebrate SoTL Day, co-hosted by the Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISoTL), the Centre for Teaching, Learning, & Technology (CTLT), and the SoTL Community of Practice, will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2019. This full-day event will be an opportunity for novice and experienced SoTL practitioners across UBC to share their stories, engage in dialogues around teaching and learning, network with like-minded colleagues, and advance your SoTL work.

We encourage you to share your SoTL projects, receive feedback from peers, and disseminate project outcomes, via an e-poster. For those interested in presenting their work, please submit your proposal by Wednesday, October 2.

Communities of Practice

The SoTL Community of Practice (CoP) launched in spring 2013 as a way to engage and connect those interested in taking a scholarly approach to teaching and learning at UBC. The SoTL Community of Practice provides a venue for those engaging in SoTL across all academic disciplines to share their work, learn from the approaches of others, and engage with current SoTL research.

Meeting topics and structure are decided at community meetings taking into account member interests, emerging trends in teaching and learning, and UBC priorities. The SoTL CoP is open to all members of the teaching and learning community involved and/or interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
