Celebrate SoTL 2022

The fifth annual Celebrate SoTL Day hosted by ISoTL took place on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, 2022. This mostly in-person event provided an opportunity for over 60 SoTL practitioners across UBCV to reconnect, share and learn from each other. It offered a forum to celebrate and reflect on the copious and relevant SoTL happening at our institution, the need to make it visible and accessible, and ethical considerations that inherently are at play when researching learning and teaching. Keynote (Thursday, October 20, 2022) – Leveraging UBC’s Strength in SoTL

This keynote, provided by ISoTL Director Elisa Baniassad, explored the exciting possibilities UBC can leverage, as the university continues to distill findings on teaching and learning that strengthens pedagogical practices. The slide deck  can be downloaded (PDF).

Panel Discussion (Thursday, October 20, 2022) – Perspectives on Student Demographics Data and SoTL

Lightning talks (Friday, October 21, 2022) – Showcase your SoTL Work
